The Human Health Risk Assessment was a critical part of the Flin Flon Soils Study, and was conducted to address the potential human-health risks associated with exposure to smelter-related chemicals in soils and other parts of the environment. The Human Health Risk Assessment recommended that additional information be collected on the actual exposure levels for Flin Flon area children to certain chemicals (i.e., inorganic mercury, lead and arsenic.)
